11/4/2013 Island of debris the size of TEXAS from 2011 Japanese tsunami is headed straight for the U.S.

Gigantic: A floating island of debris the size of Texas is floating toward California coast after washing into the Pacific in Japan's horrific 2011 tsunami  Photo Credit: MailOnline
  • Part of the over one million tons of debris dispersed in the Pacific, the trash island is located northeast of the Hawaiian Islands
  • The first documented tsunami debris to reach California arrived in April 2013
  • Boats, a dock, a soccer ball, and motorcycle have all been identified on the West Coast as confirmed tsunami debris
A floating island of debris the size of Texas has been crossing the vast Pacific Ocean to the western shores of the Americas since a devastating tsunami inundated Japan in 2011, says a new study.

Five million tons of wreckage - the remains of homes, boats, and other remnants of shattered lives in eastern Japan - were swallowed by the ocean that day in March, and more than one million tons of flotsam continues to head towards the west coast of the US.

While the first documented debris from the tragedy has already been found in California, scientists fear these new findings mean there could be a lot more to come and it might arrive all at once.

7/9/2012 [VIDEO] Fukushima: MAN MADE DISASTER (NOT Tsunami OR Earthquake) & update for last week

Source: MsMilkyTheClown
Date: 7/9/2012

Video Description

I've been out of town and my power went out before going out of town. Trying to catch up on Fukushima updates. I admit it, I didn't miss doing these updates at All. In fact, this may be my last update, just FYI, but this one was an important one to end on if I do stop my reports. I'm just about as "done" as a spent fuel rod - in a "safe" cooling pool.

A Japanese Government DIET panel investigation states that neither the Tsunami NOR the Earthquake caused the triple nuclear meltdown at Fukushima Daiichi. Lots of blame in many directions... but here's the update from July 5, 2012. Added to this video, I should have noted that Jelly Fish have invaded the intake valve in the Ohi (Oi) plant they started up last week, clogging the intake to the cooling water. *sigh*
http://enenews.com/ Headlines for the last week and a halfish.

2/29/2012 Japanese Government Softened Tsunami Warning 8 Days Before One Hit Fukushima

Source: AllGov.com
Date: Wednesday, February 29, 2012

At the behest of nuclear power companies, government officials in Japan softened language relating to the threat of earthquake-produced tsunamis only eight days before last year’s disaster.

In early March 2011, representatives of Tokyo Electric Power Co., Tohoku Electric Power Co. and Japan Atomic Power Co. asked the secretariat of the Earthquake Research Committee to amend a draft document discussing the possibility of a huge tsunami striking the northeast part of the country.

Japanese citizens have shown incredible honesty in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that brought the country to its knees.
It emerged yesterday that the Japanese returned almost $78million in cash found in the quake rubble.
In the five months since the disaster struck, people have turned in thousands of wallets and purses found in the debris, containing nearly $30 million in cash.

The March 11 monster tsunami that hit the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant destroyed the critical backup power system and triggered the meltdown of hundreds of fuel rods in reactors 1, 2 and 3.

Video of the appalling damage and reactor building explosions led many — from regular people to nuclear and quake experts — to ask: Why wasn't the coastal nuclear plant built in a location safe from all tsunami threats?

6/23/2011 AST | Japan issues tsunami advisory after strong 6.7-magnitude quake

Source: NewsCore via thetelegraph.com.au
Date: June 23, 2011 8:21AM (Australia time)

A TSUNAMI advisory was issued for part of Japan's north-east coast after a 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck offshore this morning local time, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The meteorological agency said today the latest jolt hit at 6.51am (7.51am AEST) about 50km off the east coast of Miyako, Iwate prefecture, at a depth of 20km in the Pacific.

The north-east coast of Japan's main Honshu island was ravaged by a 9.0 magnitude quake and monster tsunami on March 11, which left more 23,000 people dead or missing.

The disasters also crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, triggering the world's worst atomic accident since Chernobyl in 1986 and forcing hundreds of thousands of residents to leave their homes.

If there is a tsunami, its height is only expected to be around 1.6 feet (0.5m), and it would likely affect coastal regions of Iwate prefecture, the JMA said.
