This means my test @ 110CPM = 1 uS/v per hour. Which means 24 uS/v per day ....

24 uS/v per day X 365 days in a year = 8,760 uS/v per year !!! That is roughly 8.5 mS/v per year -- which equals about spending over an hour at chernobyl !! (that is per the PBS site below). We are coming up on one year from Fukushima -- if these levels continue it means we ALL spent over an hour at chernobyl if the levels carry on for a full year !!!!!

I have done subsequent measurements OUTSIDE in the snow directly -- 73.8 CPM over 10 Minutes.. and another test at approx. 62CPM.

In total.. three tests.. 110CPM, 62CPM, and 74CPM. These are HIGH levels..

100CPM is alert level.. so the first count actually falls under "ALERT level".. second two readings fall in the "HIGH" category.

Past baseline measurements in the same spot were an average of 20-30CPM.

I am now (500pm CST) collecting snow for several hours -- will melt the snow -- and take tests -- also will EVAPORATE the snow and take readings on the residue.

Again.. a straight test returns a VERY high reading @ 110CPM -- these are just the preliminary tests -- I cannot leave the equipment outside in the snow for 10 minutes -- thus we must collect the sample and do extended testing.

I will be using all three geiger counters on the full tests -- once I have enough direct snowfall in the collection glass. Coming ASAP ! Tonight into tomorrow AM (2/14) -- each test takes 10 min + video processing and upload time. Will do three tests at least.

On 29 Oct 2011, I measured radiation in front of a gate of an elementaly school in Kiwa city, Chiba pref. Japan

The monitorinig place is 200 km from Fukushima Nuclear power plant, and 35 or 40 km to Tokyo, called "Tokyo Hot Spot".

The monitor indicates 0.28 micro Sievert per hour in air at chest hight, 3.52 on roadside sand at ground level.
I am afraid that schildren's lung may chatch the dust from this sand in dry and windy days.

100m from this school, There is a Garbage Ash Landfill facilities of Kashiwa city.

It is told that radioactive materials are con densed in garbage ash. Kasiwa city laid such high polluted ash in the landfill place near this elememtary school till June 2011.

Measuring instrument is made of Ukraine. ECOTEST MKS-05. 3.52μSv/h、柏市富勢西小学校の校門前の砂の上で。

Seen in this video is a gamma spectrum, performed with a high-purity germanium detector.  In a 50 grams sample of soil (drain / gutter of streets) from the sagamihara area west of tokio (250 km from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant), significant amounts of the synthetic cesium isotopes Cs-137 and Cs-134 were found.  These manmade isotopes are from Fukushima, unless there was another, yet unknown incident, meaning the contamination spread quite far.

7/19/2011 Dangerous Levels Of Radiation Recorded In Canada As Fukushima Radiation Dangers Continue

Multiple videos have been released showing high levels of radiation in Canada as the corporate media continues to cover up the real dangers posed by the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

The tests were taken in multiple places in Canada including Lake Louise BC, Kelowna BC, Red Deer/Edmonton, and Hope BC.

The radiation tests that were taken near Lake Louise BC clearly showed harmful radiation levels up to 1.66 mcSv/hr.

So far Canadian and American authorities have remained silent. We must DEMAND action from local health authorities. If these levels of radiation are being picked up in Canada it seems only a matter of time before they reach the west coast of the United States.

This should be a RED ALERT to all Americans and Canadians!

6/29/2011 Cesium 134 and 137 in Tokyo rooftop dust

This is a gamma spectrum of dust wiped from a Tokyo rooftop. The detector is located at Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Physics Department. The results are estimates because of the low weight of dust in the sample. The test found 51 +/- 17 kBq/Kg cesium-134 and 30 +/- 10 kBq/Kg cesium-137. This result is higher than for many soil samples around Greater Tokyo. This is expected since dust samples are less diluted by existing nonradioactive soil material. Not knowing the exact amount of surface area sampled, this measurement can not be directly compared to results given as Bq/square meter.

Almost all of the radioactivity in the sample is coming from cesium isotopes. Just as you would avoid breathing in dusts that contained lead or asbestos, one should avoid breathing in dusts that contain this much radiocesium. Parents are often advised to wash childrens’ hands to avoid ingesting lead in dust. This is also a good practice around dusts that contain radiocesium.

No meltdown! Environmental levels normal.

However, both Fort Calhoun Nuclear Generating Station and Cooper Nuclear Station (in addition to Missouri river water levels)  should be watched closely, in the event of an unexpected (or series of unexpected) levee or dam breaks.
